How is August just two days away and GCC camp is this week??? Although summer has flown by, we are excited to see our returning singers and get to know our new ones! We hope you are ready to sing! CAMP (for Summit and Peak only): August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at Chappelow Arts Magnet School. Please enter through the performance doors and not the office doors. Look for a sign or someone pointing you in the right direction! Please see attached camp schedule that was sent out previously. Please read carefully and bring your assigned snack on the first day. SURVEY: We are always looking for ways to improve our communication with our parents and singers. With that in mind, one of our board members put a survey together and we would greatly appreciate your feedback in regard to communication! Here is the link to the survey which should only take a few minutes to complete: Greeley Children's Chorale Parent Communication Survey CREDIT CARD NEWS: We have opened an account with Square and will be able to accept credit card payments in person for tuition beginning at camp! This will also enable us to take credit cards at our concerts. Yes, we can hear you shouting, "Finally!" FINANCIAL VIABILITY: KEEPING GCC AFFORDABLE/MAKING IT MORE AFFORDABLE: Hey families, for many years GCC held a mandatory fundraiser in which every singer was required to participate. The funds raised went into the general fund which enabled us to keep tuition lower. Several years ago, a majority of parents requested that we stop that fundraiser as they felt it was all they were doing between different organizations their kids were involved in and their schools. So, at that time we added $100 to the cost of GCC and did away with the mandatory fundraiser. Minus a $10 increase a few years ago to help cover credit card fees, we have not raised tuition in a very long time. But, as we all know, the cost of everything has skyrocketed in the last couple of years and continues to do so. In addition, we continue to hear from interested families that our cost is too high for them to be able to participate. We have done some research and have found a trustworthy organization called Snap!Raise that we believe could help us with both of these issues. In order for this to be successful, we are going to ask for and require your help. The great news is you don't have to sell a single thing and your friends and family don't have to buy stuff they don't really want or need! The only thing you have to "sell" is your love for GCC! You will be asked to provide twenty emails belonging to family, friends, neighbors, fellow church attendees or co-workers. This organization is committed to privacy and protection and never sells or shares emails with anyone! They will receive an email with a link that shares information about our organization and if they desire, they can donate! If they can't or don't want to, that's fine too and maybe they learn a little something about GCC and your singer's involvement. So, please be thinking about those 20 people who could be recipients of that link. We will present this in further detail at our mandatory parent meeting at the end of August and are happy to answer questions at camp.
UNIFORM MEASUREMENT FORM: This form is SUPER helpful in getting all our singers set up for their formal uniforms. If you can do this before camp, we would be grateful!
